When the tourist board of Gangwon in South Korea teamed up with National Geographic Traveller to create a branded content campaign, we jumped in to lead the video production. There was just one catch: a worldwide pandemic, making travel to South Korea nearly impossible.
Nemorin’s senior production team took on the challenge to create a travel video that inspires British travellers to explore the region while under a UK national lockdown.
We planned the creative alongside National Geographic and worked with a local team to shoot for three days in Gangwon, covering food, skiing and nature as the key themes.
Extensive risk assessments detailing challenges such as Covid, icy road conditions and physical shooting conditions were drawn up and overcome between the producer and the local crew.
The producer adapted his shift patterns to ensure he was available remotely to solve any production challenges during the shoot in Korea.
The footage was then sent across the world to our London-based senior editor who cut together the three-minute film and a suite of social cutdowns in Adobe CC.
The agility of the crew in both the UK and Korea allowed us to successful deliver high quality branded content remotely, despite the challenges of the global climate.
