How do you stop the scroll to promote the McDonald’s reoccurring campaign ‘Great Tastes of America’?
Nemorin’s solution and activation
We wanted to create a series of videos themed around the iconic American places featuring in the broader campaign. The videos were designed to have a seamless loop and the frame around the video breaks the fourth wall.
Our Senior Motion Designer guided a team of designers and model builders to create small stages themed around each burger. The elements were all created from paper. Unusually, the videos were not animated. They were filmed in real time, with each moving part being operated by a crew member off-screen. The challenge was co-ordinating each part of the scene to make them all work in unison. The burgers were prepared on set and placed into the scene moments before we shot a scene.
Each film was then colour graded and given a custom sound mix.
These short videos are great for social media, filmed in a square safe framing and the charming paper models make the content feel authentic and social first.
